The River Foursquare Church moved to Salem Street in Naugatuck in 2018. When the pandemic shut everything down in March of 2020, we realized that we needed to do something to help our local community as a whole. We started offering food deliveries all over town from our modest food pantry. In the 4 years since then, our food pantry has grown. Each week several volunteers fill bags with donated supplies and make deliveries after church on Sundays. It has truly grown into a community event with regular attenders of The River and Naugatuck community members alike coming together to donate supplies and paper bags for transport as well as make deliveries. We also partner with Big Y to pick up breads and pastries on Saturday mornings. However, we rely on donation money to keep our non-perishable foods and toiletries stocked. We call this our “No Strings Attached” Ministry because we never expect anything in return. It is our honor to serve the community of Naugatuck in this way. Any donation to our food pantry will put food on the table for families here in Naugatuck!
