The River

Where the River flows everything will live

Whoever you are, wherever you are from, you are welcome here.

Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.
Ezekiel 47:9
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect...
1 Peter 3:15

Isaiah 53:9;
Matthew 27:57-60; John 18:37-38

He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

-Isaiah 53:9

As evening approached, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus. Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him. Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.

-Matthew 27:57-60

“You are a king, then!” said Pilate.
Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
“What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him.

He Will Hold Me Fast

Join us as we begin our new series "The Irreducible Core."

What is the Irreducible Core? Simply put it is to love God, love others, and make disciples as you go. Jesus gives the irreducible core as the two Great Commandments (Matthew 22:37-40 and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).  Dr. Tom Johnston says as followers of Jesus Christ "we believe you can do more, but you can't do less."

Each week in September we will  be unpacking what it means to love God, love others, and make disciples as you go. Come with us as we journey toward greater understanding of the Word of God and greater faithfulness in following Jesus Christ.
