Chris and Carrie are the lead pastors of The River Foursquare Church. They have been active members of the Foursquare community here in Connecticut for 20 years. Previously, they were members of the LIFEhouse Foursquare Church in Groton, CT. At LIFEhouse they served in many capacities together including children’s ministry, small group leadership, church elders and, most recently, as assistant pastors.

Chris is a graduate of Providence College, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in History. He earned his Masters in Teaching from Sacred Heart University and holds an Administrative Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut. Chris’ career in education has spanned teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. He taught history for sixteen years and then worked for seven years as an assistant principal. He currently works part-time at Naugatuck High School as an interventionist.

Carrie earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Providence College in music and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford. Shortly after beginning her career in elementary school teaching, Carrie and Chris made the decision for her to be a stay-at-home mother.

Chris and Carrie have been married for twenty two years and have five beautiful children, ranging from a 7th grader to a college senior. They have a heartfelt desire to empower families to become rooted and grounded in the love of Jesus Christ and realize their greatest potential within their homes, The River Foursquare Church, and their local communities.

Carol Donofrio serves as assistant pastor at the River Foursquare Church in Naugatuck, CT. A foster parent to over 25 children over the course of 30 years, Carol has a zeal to reach the lost and broken with the love of Jesus. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian ministry, elementary education, and history. She has a deep passion for people, food, and traveling. When she isn’t praying for people on the streets, she can be found spending time with her 5 children, 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
